WHAT IS LIVE & DRY BLOOD AUDITING?
Live & Dry Blood Auditing is an educational microscopy experience that
allows you to see a magnified view of a small sample of your blood.
Using specialized microscopy, the sample is displayed on a screen so you
can observe its appearance, patterns and characteristics up close.
The experience can include two different views:
LIVE BLOOD
A fresh sample is viewed shortly after collection, allowing you to see blood cells and other visible components in real time.
DRY BLOOD
Small blood samples are allowed to dry before being viewed under the microscope, creating a very different visual pattern.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN LDBA EXPERIENCE?

A small blood sample is collected from the fingertip.

The sample is prepared and placed under the microscope.

What is Live & Dry Blood Auditing? LDBA is an educational microscopy experience that allows you to view magnified images of a small blood sample.
Does LDBA diagnose health conditions? No. Drop Focused provides LDBA as an educational experience. It is not a diagnostic medical test and should not replace conventional laboratory testing or medical care.
What's the difference between live and dry blood? Live blood is viewed shortly after collection, while dry blood is allowed to dry before being viewed. The two preparation methods create distinctly different microscopic appearances.
How long does it take?
Does it hurt? The experience requires a small fingertip blood sample, similar to a finger-stick.
Can I experience LDBA at Secrets in Healthcare? Yes. Drop Focused will be bringing LBDA to Secrets in Healthcare November 20–21, 2026 at Big Cedar Lodge. Details and availability will be announced as the event approaches.
